Head of the Charles

This weekend is the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. I am not a rower, nor have I ever done more than paddle a canoe, but I love watching this event. The river comes alive with all the athletes, coaches, spectators, and vendors.

With the Boston skyline as a backdrop, watching the crew boats glide through the water while the rowers pull in unison is truly harmonious. There is an energy that is electric, which is why a few of us are planning our long run around the river.

I love it when the city is alive!
